Oslo – Hurtigruten Cruise – Fjord Tour - Oslo

Day 1: Oslo

Check in and overnight at a 4 star hotel in downtown Oslo

Day 2 Kirkenes

Flight from Oslo to Kirkenes

Check in and overnight at the hotel in Kirkenes.

Day 3: Kirkenes- North Cape

By midday it is time to join the Hurtigruten (literally 'swift route') steamship at 12:45 and enjoy an exciting experience cruising round the top of Europe and down the coastline of Norway passing through the fjords of Northern Norway. After Berlevåg you will pass the North Cape cliff also referred as to the 'Top of Europe'. You may also experience the wonderful and unique Midnight Sun!

The meals on board offer a feast of Norwegian specialties with abundant buffets, assorted cheeses and a wide selection of desserts.

Day 4: Mehamn - Tromsö

Today's main attraction is the Worlds most Northern City - Hammerfest.
The town is named after an old anchorage meaning anchored ship.
The first element is hammer it´s referring to a number of large rocks, good for mooring boats, called Hamran. The last element in the word is fest, which means 'fastening' (for boats).
Enjoy the magnificent scenery during the day and later on the Midnight Sun. Arrival in Tromsö, 'The gateway to the Arctic', in the evening.

Tromsö is the cultural centre of the North. On the other hand, Europe's northernmost brewery Mack is located here, with its famous Artic ale - Mackol.

Day 5: Tromsö - Stamsund

Today offers a fantastic cruise through the Lofoten.
Starts from the costal town of Harstad and continue the whole day until you arrive in Svolvaer early evening.
Lofoten stretches like a wall of mountains to the southwest in the sea. Between the mainland and the "Lofoten Wall" lies the Vestfjord. Lofoten consists of mountains and peaks, wide open ocean, sheltered inlets, stretches of seashore and large untouched areas. This is also a habitat of whales, sea eagles/white tailed-eagles and other species of birds.

Day 6: Bodö - Rörvik

This last day on the Hurtigruten is also full of attractions.
In the morning we will cross the Artic Circle. Later in the day we are passing through the beautiful Skerries cruising down from Bodö.
In the afternoon you will see the famous mountain of Trollhatten and The Seven Sisters mountain formation.

Day 7: Trondheim - Ålesund

An early arrival in the fascinating medieval city of Trondheim.
The voyage continues out of the Trondheimsfjord, past Hitra Island to make brief calls at Kristiansund and Molde,known as the City of Roses and surrounded by 8 snowcapped mountains,before the call att Ålesund and the last night at sea.

Day 8: Ålesund - Bergen

The landscape becomes increasingly lush at the journey weaves through the islets and beutaiful Bergen becomes into view.

Arrive in Bergen in early afternoon. GoNordic has included the Bergen card and this will give you plenty of options to reduced admission to many of the museums and sights

Day 9: Bergen - Flåm

The journey starts by express boat from Bergen. Travel through Sognefjord, the world's longest fjord, and proceed up the dramatic Aurlandsfjord to Flåm.
En route, the boat stops at idyllic places such as Balestrand.

Day 10: Flåm - Oslo

The train journey from Flåm up to the mountain station at Myrdal is unique.
It's one of the worlds steepest railway lines and the 20 km long train ride provides some of Norway's wildest and most magnificent scenery. It is not surprising the trip has been called the most beautiful train journey in the world. Continue by the scenic Bergensbanen mountain train line to Oslo 

Highlights: Sognefjord, Balestrand, Aurlandsfjord, Naeroyfjord (UNESCO World Heritage), Flåm Railway.

Relax on the five hour journey by train from Myrdal to Oslo.

Day 11: Oslo
